Platinum Accounting Australia · Licensee Pathway
Platinum's Licensee Pathway gives you an AI team, practice systems, and tax review and lodgement support, so you can run your own practice without hiring staff. Your brand. Your clients. Backed by Platinum.
The Licensee Pathway
The Platinum Licensee Pathway is a licensing model, not a franchise, for accountants who want to run their own practice in Australia. You trade under your own brand and own your client base. Platinum provides your AI team, a CRM, tax review and lodgement under Platinum Accounting Australia's tax agent registration, and an education pathway through Platinum Professional Training.
How licensing works
You run the practice and own the client relationships. Your AI team does the groundwork. Platinum Accounting Australia stands underneath as your foundation, with the tax agent registration, review and lodgement.
Behind the scenes
*Tax services are delivered and lodged by Platinum Accounting Australia under agreed arrangements. Revenue sharing is explained on your discovery call and in the FAQ below.
Your AI team
Three AI team members do the groundwork, so one practitioner can run a full practice. They prepare. You make the call.
You: meet the client and win the work
You: review the return before lodgement
You: validate the advice and present it
Running your own accounting practice used to mean hiring a team. Not any more. Meet Tess, your AI tax preparation team member. A client sends their documents. Tess reads every one, from income statements to rental schedules and deduction receipts. Within minutes, she builds the Excel workpaper, with every figure linked back to its source. Then she keys the figures straight into Xero Tax, so the return matches the workpaper, line for line. Anything missing or unusual, she flags for you. Tess does the groundwork. You make the call. You review it, Platinum Accounting Australia reviews every return before lodgement, and it's done. That's eighty percent less time on preparation. Your practice. Your AI team. Platinum behind you.

Licensing, not a franchise
A typical accounting franchise means trading under the franchisor's brand, paying franchise fees and committing for several years. The Platinum Licensee Pathway is a licence, not a franchise. You keep your own brand and your own clients, there is no lock in, and you work under Platinum Accounting Australia's tax agent registration with an AI team behind you.

FAQ
Everything you need to know about building your practice with Platinum Accounting Australia.
Your AI team has three members. Mia handles marketing: your CRM, landing pages, websites, ad and email campaigns, and automated workflows. Tess handles tax preparation: she reads client documents, builds the Excel workpaper, keys the return into Xero Tax and flags gaps for your review. Remy handles research: he researches each client’s situation and prepares insights and proposals. You review and approve everything, and Platinum reviews every return before lodgement.
No. The Launch package is for accountants who prefer to run their practice the traditional way, without the AI team. The AI Practice and AI Practice Plus packages include the AI team, CRM and website tools.
You need a Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce, or equivalent tertiary qualification in accounting. While CPA or CA membership is beneficial, it is not mandatory. You should have practical accounting experience and an understanding of Australian tax principles. If you are a registered BAS agent looking to expand into full tax services, or hold international accounting qualifications, we can guide you through the pathway to Australian practice. We assess each application individually to ensure you are set up for success.
That is exactly who we support. You bring the accounting expertise, we provide the systems, training, mentoring and infrastructure for the business side, so you are never working it out alone.
There are three packages, each structured as a twelve month program. Launch is $1,980 per month and suits accountants who prefer to work the traditional way, without the AI team. AI Practice is $1,980 per month and adds your AI team, CRM and website tools. AI Practice Plus is $2,780 per month and adds the highest level of support, including monthly one on one coaching with our founder and ad campaigns run for you. After the twelve months, membership continues at $99, $499 or $999 per month respectively. Each package includes setup, training, registration under our tax agent licence, professional indemnity insurance and ongoing support. There is no large upfront franchise fee.
Absolutely. Many licensees begin part-time with 5 to 15 clients, working evenings and weekends, while maintaining their primary employment. You are building a real practice from day one, at a pace that suits your circumstances. You control your hours, client load, and growth pace. As your practice grows, you can transition to full-time when ready. There is no pressure or minimum hours requirement.
All licensees join our monthly coaching program covering marketing, sales and technical topics, and receive technical support for complex tax and accounting matters, practice management guidance, compliance and regulatory updates, professional development, and a licensee community. AI Practice adds CRM coaching, and AI Practice Plus adds monthly one on one coaching with our founder.
No. You operate under Platinum Accounting Australia's TPB registration (Tax Agent Number 24683431), which significantly reduces your compliance burden and cost. We maintain the registration, handle regulatory requirements, and ensure quality standards. This means you can start serving clients without waiting for individual TPB registration approval. You are covered under our professional indemnity insurance and compliance framework.
No. You can serve clients anywhere in Australia. Many licensees work remotely and serve clients nationally using video conferencing, cloud software, and digital communication. Whether you are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, regional areas, or anywhere else, you can build a practice serving clients across Australia. Location is no barrier.
Most licensees complete onboarding training and system setup within 2 to 6 weeks and can start serving clients immediately afterward. The timeline depends on your schedule and how quickly you complete the self-paced training modules. Once systems are set up, there is no waiting period. You can onboard your first clients straight away.
No physical office is required. Most clients prefer virtual consultations and digital document exchange, particularly since COVID normalised remote professional services. Our cloud based systems, Xero Tax Manager access, and collaboration tools enable you to serve clients professionally from anywhere. Many successful licensees operate from home offices, meeting clients virtually or at their business premises when beneficial. This significantly reduces overhead costs while maintaining professional service standards.
You keep 100% of all bookkeeping revenue you generate with no royalties or percentage fees. For tax agent services provided under Platinum's registered tax agent licence, we share 50 to 65% of the tax service revenue with you, depending on service complexity. The remaining portion covers our quality review, compliance oversight, and lodgement responsibilities. Clients pay Platinum directly for all tax agent services, as required by Tax Practitioners Board regulations, while your bookkeeping fees come directly to you.
The client relationships you build are yours. If you go on to obtain your own registration, your clients remain with you. You are building an asset, not renting one.
The Platinum Accounting Australia licensee model is different from a traditional franchise. You are not buying a territory or paying large upfront franchise fees. Instead, you operate under your own brand and license our systems, infrastructure and tax agent registration. Tax services must by law be delivered through a registered tax agent, which is what the licence provides. You operate independently, keep the majority of fees, and access professional support without the rigid requirements of franchise operations. You also retain full ownership of your client relationships.
